LAKE MARY, Fla. -- A man said that his dog's barking saved him and his wife after an explosive fire broke out late Wednesday night at a Lake Mary home.

The fire ignited just before midnight at a home on Weybridge Court.Neighbors said they heard explosions and saw flames and smoke coming from the house."Everybody got out safely. Our two pets are fine. My wife is fine. (It's) just something that -- freak accident that started in the garage and our dog was able to bark (and) let us know that there was something going on and saved us," the man said.Firefighters said the blaze likely began in the garage, which partially collapsed.No one was injured.The state fire marshal will investigate the cause of the blaze.
