Chimpanzee's The Disney Movie
I typically dislike when Disney comes out with an animal related movie, especially those that are dog related, and even more, when the movie is based on a "Magical" dog, represented by its breed. The direct correlation of the release of the movie with the increase in number of sales of that particular breed of dogs sky rockets... and months later the shelters are filled with those dogs.
In this case however, the new Disney movie called Chimpanzee's, released on Friday April 20th, 2012, is certainly one every animal lover, environmental sensitive person..... every human should watch. The footage is real, the story is based on a true story... and the greatest part of it is Dr. Jane Goodall's involvement in helping Disney document the reality of the devastation done to our environment and how it impacts the world, in this case the world of Chimpanzees.
During the first week of the release of Chimpanzees, a big portion of the sales will go to the Jane Goodall Institute. The impact of this "CAN BE" tremendous and instrumental in saving the lives of Orphan Chimps, and what a simple way to help.
Even if you don't think you can watch the story of Oscar the Orphan Chimp, maybe you can purchase the ticket or donate to the Jane Goodall Institute.
