2 yr old Doxie needs forever home

The lady that gave up Lilly (later adopted by the Craign's; Romo's Lil'sister) is now giving up her 2 year old Dachshund. Here is more on Ginger, the Dachshund.

"I never imagined that this would happen, but we are forced to find a home for our other dog, Ginger. We moved to a condo from a house and we are gone so much that it has been difficult for her. Also, we are only allowed to have one pet and we have a cat as well. I was unaware of the association's rule regarding pets when we moved in, as we rented directly from the owner who lives out of state and he didn't know about this rule and was fine with both of our animals. I think it would make more sense to keep the kitty as he is used to always being indoors and is fine when we are gone.

Anyway, I thought of you because I know you found Lily a wonderful home and I thought you might know of someone looking for a nice little dog. I hope everything worked out with Lily's new family. I would love to know how she is doing if you do. I still think about her.

Ginger is a two-year-old smooth red dachshund. She is a really great dog. She is well-behaved and completely housetrained. She is a good inside dog, but absolutely loves to run outside and chase lizards, etc. We had a big yard before we moved here that she really loved. I think she would be fine in a condo with walks as long as someone was home most of the time to hang out with her. She is crate trained, but I prefer to use an exercise pen as it is less restrictive. She is a really easy dog. She loves rawhide bones and squeaky toys, is very playful and friendly but usually calm. She has been around cats and will occasionally chase them if they run, but she won't hurt them. She hangs out with our cat all the time. She is good with my son who is nine and all of his friends. She is current on her shots and she is on heartworm and flea preventative. She is a very healthy dog. She is a little bit shy around new people and dogs sometimes, but usually warms up pretty quickly. She has a beautiful, shiny coat and pretty white teeth. She behaves very well for baths. She rides in a car perfectly and really loves to go places. She walks nicely on a leash, unless she sees a lizard or bird, then she pulls a bit. She would be perfect for someone who wants a well-behaved companion and friend."

Ginger is up for adoption through Doglando's Max's Fund Project. Her adoption fee will be $150.
