Did you know vets are not your only option to have your pet spayed/neutered?
Most counties have local shelters through which they provide very inexpensive spay/neuter programs. In addition, some counties also have a local SPCA or Humane Society shelter that provide low cost services.
The difference in cost is quite significant, sometimes saving pet owners well over $100 to a few hundred dollars... it is a shame that our local shelter does a terrible job at promoting these services.
I recently learned about a new site: Friends of Animals that allows visitors to search for animal hospitals that provide low cost spay/neuter services by zip code.
Here is another website that is local to Orlando, FL, which also provides information on low cost spay/neuter services.
Don't forget, University of Doglando offers LOW COST VACCINATIONS once a month.
